This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the period from 22 July 2024 — 02 August 2024.

Keyman minor releases
Keyman 17.0.328 stable was released in this cycle. There are some updates:
Keyman 18.0.69 alpha through 18.0.80 alpha were also released in this cycle.
Significant updates in these versions include:
- Windows: backspace no longer delete extra character on TSF (#11884)
- Linux: used the current directory to prevent crashing (#12032)
- Android and iOS: new localization for Polytonic Greek (#11877)
- Updated Portuguese’s localization (#11974)
- Added auto-correction for text prediction (#11866, #11875, #11969, #11970)
- Improved Keyman Developer (#1200, #12008, #11984, #11982, #11965, #11957, #11918, #11910, #11981)

Keyboard updates
New keyboards
- Romanian (Popak) ergonomic keyboard is uniquely designed for Romanian language (#2975), a great contribution by mareuo.
- Phonetic Farsi keyboard introduces the Farsi numbers, symbols, letters, diacritics, and more (#2972). Special thanks to alliancecrusader.
- Appreciation to Cathaylaboratory for two keyboards submission:
- Taigi Viet Telex keyboard is created for Tâi-gí (Taiwanese) pe̍h-ōe-jī. 台語越式telex拍字法,會當拍台語白話字 (#2984, #2992).
- The taichow keyboard uses for the romanized goetian T’e-ciu-‘wa台州羅馬字輸入法 (#2990).
- The fv_lekwungen keyboard supports typing for the Lekwungen (lək̓ʷəŋən) language (#2989). Much thanks to xyzhelen.
- Glagolitic (Phonetic) keyboard, inspired by a phonetic layout, a keyboard created for the Glagolitic script (#2976).
- Idoma keyboard is built for the Idoma language of North-central Nigeria (#2985, #2992).
Improved keyboards
- A massive contribution from HopsAndHops for polishing documentation, correcting keyboard rules and mobile layouts, and adding changes to these keyboards:
- Tāłtān keyboard v9.2 (#2977).
- X̱aayda-X̱aad Kil keyboard v.9.4 (#2986).
- Haisla keyboard v2.1.3 (#2991).
- Nedut’en-Witsuwit’en keyboard v9.2 (#2994).
- Secwepemctsín keyboard v9.3 (#2995).
- ’Wuìk̓ala keyboard v9.4 included an alternate solution to type Slash in Google Workspace (#2979).
- Nɬeʔkepmxcín keyboard v9.5.1 resolved keyboard linking issue (#2978).
- Credits to Cathaylaboratory for fixing various bugs, and introduced more keystrokes into:
- The foochow keyboard v.1.0.1 (#2973).
- The wenchow keyboard v1.1.1 (#2974).
- Huge shout out to xyzhelen for minor and major enhancements to the keyboards:
- The hǝn̓q̓ǝmin̓ǝm̓ keyboard v10.2.1 replaced capital theta and schwa with lowercase versions and polished documentation (#2997, #3000).
- Shashishalhem keyboard v9.2.1 has an improved keyboard documentation (#2999).
- Halq’eméylem keyboard v.9.2.1 has a newly polished welcome file (#3002).
- SENĆOŦEN keyboard v9.2.3 comes with an upgraded keyboard documentation (#3003, #3005).
- Simplified Chinese keyboard has reached v1.4 with extended supports for multi-monitor and numerous complex implementations (#64).
- Bukawa keyboard v3.0 has been officially added to the keyboard release category, also provided with long-press keys on the touch layouts (#2987).
Keyboard App Builder 12.0
Keyboard App Builder 12.0 was released on July 20, 2024.
New features and improvements:
- Compatible with Android 5 – 14 (API 21 – 34).
- Extended support for Keyman 17.0.
- Font enhancements, and eliminate Grandroid font rendering libraries.
- Many development and bug fixes.
