This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the period from 12 May 2025 — 23 May 2025.

Keyman minor releases

Keyman 18.0.236 stable was released in this cycle. Significant updates in these versions include:

  • Removed ngrok.exe to prevent malware warning (#13847, #13873)
  • Fixed keyboard scale settings for older iOS (#13817)
  • Fixed incorrect version metadata (#13853)

Keyman 19.0.35 alpha through 19.0.47 alpha were also released in this cycle. There are some updates:

  • Fixed missing Keyman Configuration (#13876)
  • Added line numbers for errors in LDML compiler (#13375, #13915)
  • Removed flick gesture by releasing at the key’s center (#13683)  
  • Updated FirstVoice icon in Android and iOS (#13907#13976)
  • Updated strings for Italian (#13871)

Keyman Update for 5 June 2026

Welcome five new contributors to the project, and Keyboard App Builder 14.2 releases with usability improvements and bug fixes, the Keyman community continues to expand support for digitally disadvantaged languages. Keyman 19 roadmap update

The March 2026 Keyman 19 roadmap gets a candid mid-year update. An internal review found 363 open issues still assigned to v19. ARM Windows and Mac installer support are on track; CLDR mobile keyboards are postponed. The team is down to 9 — contributions and donations are welcome.
