This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the two week period from 18 March 2024 — 29 March 2024.

Keyman minor releases
Keyman 17.0.289 beta through 17.0.297 beta were released in this cycle.
Significant updates in these versions include:
- Fixed a bug where some words were missing in compiled predictive text dictionaries (#11074)
- Linux: Automatically launch DBus to easily install or uninstall keyboards for different users (#10863)
- FirstVoices Keyboards: updated various keyboard versions (#11013)
- Updated translation for Keyman in Khmer, Mon, and French (#11090, #11089, #11063)
- Fixed some bugs, removed unused keyboard info, and tidied the code
- Improvements to Keyman for iOS keyboard layout, banner behavior and functionality (#10929)

Keyboard updates
- The Balochi Phonetic keyboard was updated to version 1.6, adding new letters and a newly arranged touch layout (#2584). Credits go to rmlockwood.
- The Nepali Romanized keyboard is a new keyboard for Keyman that matches a popular Romanized layout for Nepali using Devanagari script (#2584), contributed by Sapradhan.
- Poorna Malayalam Typewriter and Poorna Malayalam Extended Inscript keyboard, two completed Malayalam unicode character set keyboards, are now available (#2586) (#2585), thanks to Ramesh_k.
- Improved Háiɫzaqvḷa keyboard typing experience on macOS in version 9.5.1 by implementing right and left Alt keys for on-screen keyboard (#2590). Many thanks to HopsAndHops.
- St̓át̓imcets keyboard version 9.1.4 is now multi-platform friendly with updated rules and a better mobile layout (#2607), credits to HopsAndHops.
- ᓀᐦᐃᔭᐍᐏᐣ (Plains Cree) keyboard version 11.0 launches a new desktop layout with better documentation (#2591), thanks to HopsAndHops.
- Henqeminem keyboard version 10.0 has more keys, new keyboard layouts, and provides accurate spelling (#2576) and Secwepemctsín keyboard version 9.2 has a new mobile layout to handle vowels with acute accents (#2601), big thanks to Helen.
- New and improved mobile layouts for both keyboards, Sḵwx̱wúmesh sníchim keyboard version 9.3 and Éy7á7juuthem keyboard version 10.1. While fv_skwxwumesh_snichim supports combined unicode characters for vowels with acute accents for mobile layout, fv_klahoose has more combination keys for the desktop layout (#2628), credits to Helen.
- A new Portuguese Azerty keyboard is available for download! (#2604) Much appreciation to Mauriu.
- With the release of the Korean Phonetic Keyboard, typing Korean hangeul from Jamo each time you press Spacebar is now possible, but it is limited to Windows only (#2595). Bravo to Mauriu.
- Type every character in ISO Latin 1, Windows ANSI, MacRoman, and Latin Extended A, and type smart quotes, Euro sign, numero sign, uppercase sharp S, interrobang, and more with the newly released Kreative SuperLatin keyboard (#2602), crediting Rebecca G. Bettencourt.
- The Kreative SuperCyrillic keyboard is available and supported across all platforms with the use of long-press for the touch layout (#2619). Much appreciation to Rebecca G. Bettencourt.
- Kreative SuperIPA keyboard is released, supported across all platforms with the use of long-press for the touch layout (#2620). Credits go to Rebecca G. Bettencourt.
- A newly released sudest keyboard supports typing the Sudest language of Papua New Guinea (#2578 , #2630), thanks to Chrisguthrie.
- Tanguat (SIL) keyboard, based on Ukelele layout, is now available (#2625, #2626), credits go to Darcy.
- Rawang keyboard increased functionality on version 1.7 with long-press features, a numeric layer, and the start of sentence detection (#2554).
- IPA (SIL) keyboard has been updated to version 1.8.7, adding subscript numerals to the underscore rota (#2587).
