This blog reports on significant Keyman keyboard development updates over the period from 23 December 2024 — 17 January 2025.

Keyman minor releases
Keyman 17.0.333 stable was released in this cycle. There are some updates:

Keyman 18.0.163 alpha through 18.0.172 alpha were also released in this cycle. Significant updates in these versions include:

Keyboard updates
New keyboards:
- Introducing four experimental keyboards:
- The MJH Todo keyboard is designed for the Oirat language using the Todo style of Mongolian script (#3253).
- The MJH Ali Gali keyboard uses the “Ali Gali” letters of the Mongolian script (#3255).
- The MJH Manchu keyboard is for typing in Manchu (#3256).
- The MJH Sibe keyboard is created for the Xibe language using the Mongolian script (#3257).
- The Pashai keyboard is an Arabic script keyboard for the Southeast Pashai language (#3261).
- The SMSC Dakota keyboard designs by and for Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Dakota language speakers (#3274, #3283, #3288). Submitted by butanial.
- The Manchu keyboard is for Manchurian and can type the Manchu language (#3278). Contributed by Cathaylaboratory.
Keyboard enhancement:
- The Polytonic Greek (SIL) keyboard v1.8.1 adds a long press key on touch layout to type
U+1F75
ή (#3259). - The Colchis Latin keyboard v1.6 includes
ɔ and q̌
for all keyboard layouts. - Thanks to Cathaylaboratory for updating two keyboards
- The cantonese telex keyboard v1.2.2 (#3269) has rules to reduce unexpected transformation, more long-press keys in touch-layout, and more.
- The Taigi Viet Telex keyboard v3.0.1 (#3284) has automatic uppercase, rules to reduce unexpected transformation and more long-press keys in touch-layout.
