Keyman Update for 14 March 2025

This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the period from 03 March 2025 — 14 March 2025.

Keyman minor releases

Keyman 18.0.204 beta through 18.0.214 beta and Keyman 19.0.10 alpha through 19.0.14 alpha were released in this cycle.

Significant updates in these versions include:

• Android: 
  • Fixed how Keyman closes after choosing a keyboard (#13313)
• Windows:
  • Fixed how the share anonymous statistics box is checked after every update (#13215)
  • Improved keycap colors on OSK (#13444)
• macOS, iOS:
  • Updated documents on minimum support version (#13452)
  • Revised macOS documents on troubleshooting (#13476)
• New Localizations 
  • Added Vietnamese for all platforms (#13322)

Keyboard updates

New keyboards

• Introducing two experimental keyboards:
  • Applause to simlrh for contributing the Jèrriais keyboard, a dialect of Norman and the native language of Jersey in the Channel Islands (#3367, #3372).
  • Much appreciation to adinkraalphabet for the Adinkra keyboard, designed for the Adinkra Alphabet for the Ghanaian languages of Akan, Ewe, Ga and Dagbani (#3370, #3373).

Enhanced keyboard

• The Taigi Viet Telex keyboard v3.1 use key z to cancel tones, has bug fixes, and more (#3374). Much thanks to Cathaylaboratory.

Predictive text update

• The Jèrriais Predictive text for the Jèrriais language and keyboard (#308). Another lovely contribution by simlrh.
