Keyman Update for 18 July 2025

This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the period from 07 July 2025 — 18 July 2025.

Keyman minor releases

Keyman 19.0.80 alpha through 19.0.85 alpha were released in this cycle.

Significant updates in these versions include:

• Keyman for Android: 
  • Used full paths when copying files (#14308)
  • Used absolute paths for zipping files (#14329)
• Keyman for iOS: 
  • Restored keyboard scale for iPad (#14305)  
• Document on Keyman Developer: 
  • Added description explanation for Details tab (#14304)

Keyboard updates

New keyboards

• Introducing two experimental keyboards which are developed for the Borgu Fulfulde language:
  • The Borgu Fulfulde Ajami (Azerty) keyboard (#3605, #3611).
  • The Borgu Fulfulde Ajami (QWERTY) keyboard (#3609, #3610).
• The Slaviature keyboard allows for quick input of characters from the Slavistic Phonetic Alphabet (#3620). Applause to pierzcham.
• The ga keyboard is a QWERTY based keyboard for the Ga language of Ghana (#3627). Credit goes to RyanCecil1.

Improved keyboards

• The Jorai keyboard v1.1 removes platform dependent parts of rules (#3615).
• Thanks to Cathaylaboratory for enhancing the vietnam keyboard v2.0 (#3616):
  • Delete some rule and fixed bugs
  • Improve the letters generated.
• The Kayǎn keyboard v1.5.4 and the Clavier Tem keyboard v1.3.4 remove web platform restraints (#3617).
• The Bassa Vah keyboard v1.1.1 adds several rules to the keyboard (#3618, #3623).
