We are happy to announce that Keyman 19 was released to beta on 6 Oct 2026. During this time, we will be working on stability and documentation, in preparation for a full 19.0 release early in 2027.
This release includes over 1400 changes and 5 major new features:
- A brand new experience for installing and configuring Keyman for Mac
- Autocorrect for high probability typos in Keyman for Android and Keyman for iPhone and iPad
- A new keyboard conversion tool from macOS’s (and Ukelele’s) .keylayout format to Keyman’s .kmn
- Keyman for Windows now fully supports Windows ARM devices
- Localization of the keyboard download experience on all platforms into a number of languages

Known issues
- Keyman for Linux –
onboard-keymanpackage no longer gets installed automatically when installingkeyman. The reason is that it doesn’t work properly with Wayland and is not available in the official Debian/Ubuntu repos (#14769). It is still possible to install it manually in your package manager, or in a terminal window withsudo apt install onboard-keyman.
