Keyman minor releases

Keyman 18.0.119 alpha through 18.0.125 alpha were also released in this cycle.

Significant updates in these versions include:

  • Keyman Developer
    • Improved support for text rendering in keyboard debugger (#12464).
    • Displays a warning when importing OSK layout over existing touch layout (#12478).
  • Android
    • Optimized settings for predictive text word suggestion (#12443).
  • Mac
    • Improvements to handling of right and left option keys (#12458).

Keyboard App Builder updates

Keyboard App Builder 12.2 was released on October 10, 2024, delivering new features and improvements alongside a bug fix:

  • New features and improvements
    • Introducing Feature and Settings Finder.
    • Redesign of the APK tab.
    • More menu item’s icons.
    • New and improved fonts: 
      • Ezra SIL and Ezra SIL SR fonts.
      • Awami Nastaliq v3.300.
    • Project configuration file improvements.
  • A bug fix
    • Fixes keyboard registration.

Keyman 19 roadmap update

The March 2026 Keyman 19 roadmap gets a candid mid-year update. An internal review found 363 open issues still assigned to v19. ARM Windows and Mac installer support are on track; CLDR mobile keyboards are postponed. The team is down to 9 — contributions and donations are welcome.
