Keyman Update for 21 Nov 2025

This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the period from 10 November 2025 — 21 November 2025.

Keyman minor releases

Keyman 19.0.158-alpha through 19.0.165-alpha were released in this cycle.

Significant updates in these versions include:

• Android
  • Change appropriate error reports to warning dialogs (#15098)
  • Add documentation explaining Android keyboard safety warning dialog (#15136)
• Linux
  • Add support for Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Resolute (#15137, #15157)
• Windows
  • Improve the stability for detecting hotkeys and modifier keys pressed (#15179)

Keyboard updates

New keyboard:

• A new Temiskaming FN Algonquin keyboard for Algonquin language, thanks to thohahente (#3786)
• A new Amazigh Latin (SIL) keyboard to facilitate the Latin-script transcription of most of the Amazigh languages (#3781, #3788)

Keyboards enhancement:

• SIL Yi keyboard v2.0: added new touch layout that allows any of the 1100+ Yi syllable characters to be typed with just two keystrokes (#3750)
• Taang (SIL) keyboard v1.2:  added “[]” punctuation keys to shift layer (#3783)
• Runeboard – Runic keyboard v4.2: removed excessive ZWJs and ZWSP after non-breaking hyphen, thanks to Runeboard (#3776)
• Huge thanks to oyousuf for updating: 
  • Masaba keyboard v1.0.1: fixed an error with the letter <JI> (#3780)
  • Soninke N’ti keyboard v1.0.2: removed 2 punctuation marks (#3782)
