Translation invitation

Internationalizing the keyboard search for keyman.com is progressing. We welcome you to help improve the keyboard search experience by helping to translate strings at https://crowdin.com/project/keymancom or let us know what other languages you need.

Keyman minor releases

Keyman 18.0.245 stable was released in this cycle with notable changes:

  • Keyman for Windows
    • Works around a bug in AtlasOS, which was causing Keyman to crash (#15175)
    • Helps to improve stability of Keyman, e.g., keeping hotkeys active (#15219)

Keyman 19.0.166-alpha through 19.0.170-alpha were also released in this cycle:

  • Keyman for Android
    • Address touch layout’s height resizing (#13663)
  • Keyman Developer
    • Handle errors in .keyman-touch-layout (#15243)
  • Documentation
    • Keyman for Android APIs (#15247)
    • Keyman Developer APIs (#15275)

Keyman 19 roadmap update

The March 2026 Keyman 19 roadmap gets a candid mid-year update. An internal review found 363 open issues still assigned to v19. ARM Windows and Mac installer support are on track; CLDR mobile keyboards are postponed. The team is down to 9 — contributions and donations are welcome.

Keyman 19 alpha (229–236) lands with caps lock and Linux Debian fixes. New keyboards for the Zou and Mising communities join the library, and Lac Viet v3.0 gains Zhuang support. Two new contributors welcomed.
