Keyman Update for 5 Dec 2025

This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the period from 24 November 2025 — 5 December 2025.

Translation invitation

Internationalizing the keyboard search for keyman.com is progressing. We welcome you to help improve the keyboard search experience by helping to translate strings at https://crowdin.com/project/keymancom or let us know what other languages you need.

Keyman minor releases

Keyman 18.0.245 stable was released in this cycle with notable changes:

• Keyman for Windows
  • Works around a bug in AtlasOS, which was causing Keyman to crash (#15175)
  • Helps to improve stability of Keyman, e.g., keeping hotkeys active (#15219)

Keyman 19.0.166-alpha through 19.0.170-alpha were also released in this cycle:

• Keyman for Android
  • Address touch layout’s height resizing (#13663)
• Keyman Developer
  • Handle errors in .keyman-touch-layout (#15243)
• Documentation
  • Keyman for Android APIs (#15247)
  • Keyman Developer APIs (#15275)

Keyboard releases

New keyboards

• Appreciation to ninenik for the contribution of the Shan (ThaiLayout) keyboard, which is for the Shan language, utilizing a familiar Thai keyboard layout (Kedmanee/Pattachote) as a base for character placement (#3803)
• The newly released Yiddish/Hebrew keyboard is useful for typing Yiddish and Hebrew (#3797, #3807)

Enhanced keyboards

• The Taang (SIL) keyboard v1.3 introduces a touch layout (#3785)
• The Dega keyboard v4.0 adds î, î̆, û, û̆, Î, Î̆, Û, Û̆ (#3796)
• The shanghai jamo keyboard v1.1 updates document, vowels in alphabet map, and dictionary (#3799). Thanks to Cathaylaboratory.
• The slp1_deva keyboard v1.0.3 has changes for:
  • Missing U+004F (O) for k + O = कौ
  • [SHIFT K_Q] output to U+0922 U+094D
  • Platform supports & consonants store (#3801, #3804)
• The Khmer Angkor keyboard v2.3 fixes missing images in welcome.htm (#3805)
• The Amazigh Latin (SIL) keyboard 1.0.2 has a new touch layout  (#3810)

Keyboard App Builder updates

Keyboard App Builder 13.3 was released on 25 November 2025.
