Keyman minor releases

Keyman 19.0.229-alpha through 19.0.236-alpha were released in this cycle:

  • Keyman for Linux
    • Add dependency for Debian (#15967)
  • Keyman for Windows
    • Fix Caps lock behavior (#15867)
  • Help Documentation
    • Recommend Keyman Cloud as the primary method of distribution for lexical model (#15974)

Keyman 19 roadmap update

The March 2026 Keyman 19 roadmap gets a candid mid-year update. An internal review found 363 open issues still assigned to v19. ARM Windows and Mac installer support are on track; CLDR mobile keyboards are postponed. The team is down to 9 — contributions and donations are welcome.

Keyman Update for 8 May 2026

Keyman 19 alpha (224–228) fixes contextual help and caps lock in Windows. Three new keyboards: Khmer Traditional, Shanghai Telex, and poorigbelle for African Darfurain languages, and the Vietnam and Cantonese keyboards received updates. Welcoming one new contributor. Plus: Keyboard App Builder 14.0 with Android 16 support.
