Keyman Update for 07 Nov 2025

This blog reports on significant Keyman product and keyboard development updates over the period from 27 October 2025 — 07 November 2025.

Keyman minor releases

Keyman 19.0.146-alpha through 19.0.157-alpha were released in this cycle.

Significant updates in these versions include:

• Keyman for macOS
  • Ignores non-Unicode keys to fix on-screen keyboard display (#15008) 
• Keyman Developer
  • Fixes debugger crash caused by ANSI keyboards (#15022) 
  • Remove package version when “Follow Keyboard Version” is enabled in Package Editor (#15088)
  • Adds small debug logs to help find rare app crashes on exit (#15058)

Keyboard updates

New keyboards

• The kirikiris keyboard is for the language kirikirʔi:s (Wichita) Spoken in Anadarko, Oklahoma (#3688). Much thanks to michael-wynne-wsu.
• The Ibọnọ Chwerty keyboard is a keyboard for the Ibọnọ language of Nigeria (#3755). Appreciation to katelem24.
• The Engram_en keyboard is optimized for comfortable and efficient touch typing in English, with open source code to create other optimized key layouts (#3767). Contributed by binarybottle.

Enhanced keyboards

• The Sharada Inscript keyboard v1.0.1 has a bug fixed to support ddha (𑆞) (#3754).
• The GeezWord ትግርኛ keyboard v18.0 is the initial public release of the keyboard package and includes both desktop and mobile layouts (#3758, #3764). Applaud to dyacob.
• The Shan (SIL) keyboard v1.4.3 changes Shift H key from U+1037 to U+1036 (#3764).
• Thanks to rowbory for the Naija Type keyboard v66 to include (#3773):
  • A bug fix for flick down shifted layer (2 not @) on touch keyboard.
  • Better welcome page on desktop.
• Contribution from Runeboard for the Runeboard – Runic keyboard v4.1 with the following updates (#3768, #3774):
  • Repositioned various keys.
  • Fixed onscreen layout errors.
  • Added 1 key to Shift+RAlt layer on desktop.
  • Changed longpress options on mobile due to visibility issues.
• The EuroLatin (SIL) keyboard v3.0.4 adds Wynn character for Old English (#3769).

Predictive text update

• The GFF Tigrinya-Eritrean and GFF Tigrinya-Ethiopian v1.0.3 adds ti language tag to make the lexical model available to Tigrinya keyboards that do not specify a region (#332, #334). Lovely improvements by dyacob.
