Keyman minor releases

Keyman 19.0.252-alpha through 19.0.258-alpha were released in this cycle. Here are some significant changes:

  • Android
    • Handle blank keyboard tap properly (#16217)
    • Eliminate offering updates for packages that are not supported on the currently installed version of Keyman (#16139)
  • Keyman Engine for Android
    • BREAKING The font parameters for setKeyboard() now only accept a font file name (#16211)
    • KNOWN ISSUE Must include EuroLatin (SIL) keyboard in KMSample1 if setDefaultKeyboard() is not called during initialization (#16215)
  • Linux
    • Apply GNOME Human Interface Guidelines for Installation UI (#16210)
  • Web
    • Streamlined setOsk() for blank keyboard and lexical model (#16127)
    • Ensure that the IME interface methods are all defined for both browser and webview modes (#16170)
  • iOS
    • Eliminate calling updates for packages that are not supported on the current version of Keyman (#16138)

Keyboard App Builder

Keyboard App Builder 14.3 was released on 07 July 2026. Keyboard App Builder takes a Keyman keyboard and bundles it into a standalone keyboard app for Android for ease of installation and use by end users.
